You can arrive via Liverpool's John Lennon Airport or from Manchester Airport.
Liverpool's John Lennon Airport
The growth in popularity of the no-frills airlines has given Liverpool an excellent range of international flights, but domestic flights to Liverpool are much more limited in scope.
John Lennon Airport has done particularly well out of its Irish links, with an excellent frequency of flights to Belfast on offer. At the moment, flights to Liverpool from London are only available courtesy of VLM's commuter link to London City. Flybe's attempts to offer more domestic flights from Liverpool have proved largely unsuccessful, with the airline having recently cancelled its Edinburgh flights as well as its Glasgow services.
Flights from New York are expected to start in the spring of 2007.
Manchester Airport
Third largest airport in the UK, and used by over 100 airlines.
There are direct coach and rail services from Manchester airport to Liverpool city centre.
National Express runs coaches from Manchester Airport direct to Liverpool city centre. The journey takes around 50 minutes
